Today, the "Warm up" classes were held. First was a Table A speed class.

Here is the starting order with faults and notes:

Elan/Dianne Grod/USA - 0 faults/56.96 - This 20 year old Thoroughbred is still jumping great! Galloped around the course beautifully clear.

Careful 19/Kandi McCoy/USA - 12 faults/54.05 - This 9 year old Holsteiner gelding and amateur rider Kandi got a little flat and fast, for 3 rails down.

Ivar/Ian Millar/Canada - 0 faults/60.41 Captain Canada and this Dutch gelding cruised around the course comfortably and smoothly.

Mania Jolly/Taizo Sugitani/Japan - 0 jumping/1 3/4 time faults/68.9 - Smooth and quiet, beautifully done.

Royal Discovery/Samantha McIntosh/Bulgaria - 0 jumping/1 time/65.05 - What a lovely horse! Great technique, kind and beautiful to watch. The most impressive individual of the day.

Victor/Geraldo Gomes de Lemos/Brazil - 0 jumping/1 3/4 time faults/68.12 - Big stong horse, with unorthodox technique. Very well ridden.

Pozitano/Beat Mandli/Switzerland - 0 jumping/2 1/4 time faults/ 70.07/Smooth and quiet. Obviously just out for a quiet schooling round.

Diamond GoGo/Misti Cassar-USA/4 faults/52.45 - Lovely new gray stallion. Blazing fast, unfortunate rail down.

Hidden Creek's Perin/Margie Goldstein-Engle/USA/0 fault/54.76 - Margie just earned her 6th AGA rider of the year title. She never takes back, just keeps galloping!

RBF Otterongo/Ludo Philipparerts/Belgium/0 faults/ 3 1/4 time faults/74.17 - slow and careful, very nice round.

Le Madro/Mario Deslauriers/Canada/10 faults/77.55 - Hot and temperamental. Difficult ride. Balked in one corner and had to be ridden to the jumps.

Marco/Megan Johnstone/USA/0 faults/63.48 - Smooth and beautiful.

Sports YAI Aladdin/Antonio Chdraui Eguia/Mexico/4 jumping/1 3/4 time/68.71 - Unfortunate last jump down.

Charon/Justin Imperato/USA/0 52.13 - FAST!!!!! Justin never slowed down from the time he picked up his opening circle gallop!

Clover Heights/Dick Carvin/USA/8 faults 51.38 - Had the time, but two rails down. Good try.

Deichgrefin/Carsten-Otto Nagel/Germany/0 faults/61.57 - smooth & quiet.

It's Showtime/Joie Gatlin/USA/12 faults/53.42 - Got faster and flatter.

Tinka's Boy/Markus Fuchs/Switzerland/0 jumping/2 1/2 time 71.96 - Quiet slow and careful.

Debbie McDonald/Brentina - Pan American games gold medal individual & team winner performed a musical dressage ride to various showtunes. Brentina particular is impressive at the passage and piaffe. Debbie will perform more dressage exhibitions nightly.

The second class was a Jump-Off Class with only 6 starters.

Starting order with faults and notes

Hap Hansen/Glenow's Lillian/USA/11 year old Hanoverian/12 faults. Lillian seemed a little backed up in the small indoor ring and did not jump across the back rail of the oxers comfortably.

Misti Cassar/Beach Girl/USA/10 year old Oldenburg/7 jumping/4 1/2 time for 11 1/2 total faults. Misti jumped clear down to the last fence, 11b, then stopped. When she rejumped 11a, that rail came down for a total of 7 jumping faults

Kevin Chester/Another Flood/Australia/0 jumping/1 1/4 time faults - Jumped easily.

Ludgar Beerbaum/Goldfever/Germany/4 faults/Hannoverian Stallion - Beerbaum is the number two ranked rider in the world, winner of two team and two individual Olympic gold medals. The horse jumped well and had one unfortunate rail.

Schuyler Riley/Carolus H/USA/4 faults/Gray 13 year old Hannoverian Stallion - This combination recently won the American Invitational Grand Prix in Florida. The horse jumped very well and had one unfortunate rail down.

Molly Ashe/Kroongravin/USA/Zero faults - This pair jumped easily and beautifully to be the only clear round and the winner.

The ring is small, and irregularly shaped, with an added wider section towards the in gate. The footing is excellent. No one slipped, and all jumped safely. The courses rode well, but in the small ring, there is no time to take a breather! Courses were big enough to be a test for the first day, but not so large to take a toll on the horses or riders who have the first World Cup round tomorrow (Thursday) night. Tomorrow's class is a speed round and approximately 40 starters are expected.
