I arrived in Las Vegas and went by the horse show
today. The Thomas & Mack Center is an indoor arena and has been home to the World Championship Bull Riding event for quite some time. This is only a mile from the famed Las Vegas Strip, with the exciting hotels and casinos such as the Luxor, MGM Grand, New York New York, Mirage and dozens more.
The arena is small, but footing excellent. All seats are good, with good visibility.
There is a large tent just outside the arena for a warm up area. This gives the horses the opportunity to warm up in the enclosed environment they will experience in the show ring, and also protects them from the elements!
The barn areas are in enclosed tents adjacent to the warm up arena.
Weather is chilly and windy, some sprinkles last night and a few more forecast.
Wednesday afternoon is the first event, a warmup competition.
