Dr. Roger Hanes and
his
1/2 Akhal Teke Mare Alana

Dr. Hanes is a semi-retired veterinarian who has been practicing in Northern California
for the past 24 years. A graduate of UC Davis he began his professional career as a
solo practitioner working with horses and other large animals.
He is a lifetime horseman raised on a stock ranch and using horses for ranch purposes.
Since 1983 he has been an active competitor and judge in endurance riding and continues to work
and train horses as part of his daily lifestyle.
